The Bihar government has issued recruitment for the posts of Community Health Officer (CHO) under the State Health Society (SHS). Who can apply?

Candidates should have done BSc Nursing or Post Basic Nursing with a Certificate in Community Health (CCH) or General Nurse and Midwifery (GNM) course. Apart from this, the candidate should have obtained a certificate in BSc Nursing or Post Basic Nursing with a Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH). CHO Age Limit: What is the age limit?
The minimum age for the candidates should be 21 years. The age will be calculated as of 1 April 2025. The maximum age limit has been fixed according to different categories. The maximum age for male candidates of unreserved category and economically weaker section (EWS) is 37 years. The maximum age for male and female candidates of backward class and extremely backward class is fixed at 40 years.

The maximum age for female candidates of unreserved category and EWS will also be 40 years. At the same time, the maximum age limit for male and female candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) has been fixed at 42 years.

Bihar Health Jobs Application Fee: What is the application fee?
The application fee is Rs 500 for the general category, backward class, extremely backward class, and economically weaker section (EWS). At the same time, candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) (who are permanent residents of Bihar state) will have to pay a fee of Rs 125. The application fee for female candidates of Bihar state (irrespective of their category) will be Rs 125.
