To reach this post, candidates have to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which includes Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. For this, the candidate has to do intensive preparation of General Studies, Current Affairs, History, Geography, Constitution, Economy, Science etc. Candidates must be graduates to appear in the UPSC exam.
Nidhi Tiwari is an IFS officer of the 2014 batch. She had secured 96th rank in the Civil Services Examination 2013. Before passing the Civil Services Examination of the year 2013, she also worked as Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax) in Varanasi.
How much salary is given
Officers working on the post of Private Secretary to the Prime Minister get salary as per Pay Matrix Level-14 of the Central Government. In this category, the monthly salary is around Rs 1,44,200. Apart from this, they are also given many types of allowances, which include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA) and other government facilities.
