Recruitment Process
Candidates must apply for railway jobs through the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) or Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC).
The exam includes GK, math, reasoning, science, and current affairs. A skill test/physical efficiency test, document verification, and medical examination are also conducted. After passing all stages, a merit list is prepared, and selection is based on that.
Salary and Perks
The starting salary for railway jobs ranges from 25,000 to 45,000 per month. The annual package can range from approximately ₹3.5 lakh to ₹5.5 lakh, along with free or concessional train travel, railway quarters, medical facilities, pension, and gratuity.
