What is the Vivaad se Vishwas Scheme?

According to the Finance Ministry, if a person deposits more than the prescribed amount of tax and the fixed percentage rate on it, then the penalty and interest imposed on him will be completely waived off and the case will also be considered closed.

If you, an eligible taxpayer, pay the prescribed amount of disputed tax on time under the scheme and submit the declaration related to it to the authority, then the Income Tax Department will waive your entire penalty and also end your pending interest.
