2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara launched at Rs 11.42 lakh: Six airbags, new features and more

Maruti Suzuki India has launched the updated 2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 11.42 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model gets new features , added safety, and new variants and the AWD model is now offered with an automatic gearbox option. Interested customers can book the car online or by visiting their nearest dealership, deliveries are expected to begin soon.

The updated model is offered in a total of 18 variants and six airbags are offered as standard across all. Customers can also opt for panoramic Sunroof in new Zeta (O), Zeta+ (O), Alpha (O) and Alpha+ (O) variants. The Strong Hybrid is now also offered with the mid-spec Delta Plus variant and the all-wheel drive is now also offered with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox option, previously it was offered only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Taking about the new features, the SUV gets an 8-way driver-powered seat, electronic parking brake, auto purify with PM 2.5 Display, LED cabin lamps, newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels and rear door sunshades. Other features include a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital instrument cluster (strong-hybrid only), ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, HUD display, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, ambient lighting, connected car tech , Arkamys sound system and more. In terms of safety, it gets electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, TPMS, Hill descent control and more.


The Grand Vitara continues to be offered in two engine options - a 1.5-litre NA, 4-cyl, Petrol engine with 103 hp of power and 135 Nm of torque. This comes paired either with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter. This engine also gets an AWD option and has claimed fuel efficiency of 21.11kpl for the manual variants, 20.58kpl for the automatics and 19.38kpl for the manual AWD variant. Automatic AWD variant fuel efficiency is yet to revealed.

Another engine is the 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder strong hybrid Atkinson cycle petrol engine sourced by Toyota. The engine puts out 115hp and is paired to an e-CVT gearbox. Maruti claims an efficiency of 27.97kpl.
