If the government does not start the process for promotion now, it will take a long time to complete it after the HC order. This is the reason that the departments have been asked to start the process for promotion.
The Samanya Pichra Alpsankhyak Kalyan Samaj (SPAKS) has filed a petition in the high court, saying the promotion policy is a violation of the order for ending reservation in promotion. The court directed the government to tell the difference between the old and new policies through a chart.
The government has also prepared a chart showing the difference between the two policies. The HC order has put a ban on promotion since July 7, but the court is yet to fix a date for hearing the petition.
On the other hand, the government has prepared all the papers so that whenever the HC fixes a date for hearing, it may present a reply.
