Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A person was arrested with brown sugar worth ₹2 lakh, police said on Tuesday. He was reportedly going to supply the drugs to a person when he was caught by the crime branch. He is being questioned for his source of the drugs.
According to Additional DCP (crime) Rajesh Dandotiya, on the instruction of senior officers, a team was constituted for the arrest of people indulging in drug supply in the city. The team was searching for suspects when a person named Ravi Raghuvanshi, a resident of Pandharinath area was arrested following a tip-off from near Rajkumar Sabzi Mandi.

The accused allegedly confessed to buying the drugs at a cheap price to sell it at a higher price to his customers in the city.
The accused is a notorious criminal as he was arrested for his involvement in about three dozen cases in the city and other places. A case under section 8/21 of the NDPS Act was registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
