Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Despite the truce between India and Pakistan, the security machinery in the state continues to remain on alert.
The police are following security protocols, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) are conducting extensive checking campaigns at key stations, while every vehicle is also being checked on the border with Rajasthan and Gujarat. Security of all important places of the state has also been strengthened, said officials.
On the instructions of Bhopal Railway SP Rahul Lodha, GRP and RPF are jointly marching at all railway stations, including Bhopal, Gwalior, Itarsi, Khandwa, and Bina. Checking is also going on continuously in trains. On the instructions of Jabalpur SP Simala Prasad, vigilance has been increased at all major railway stations in the area.
At stations, passengers are also being told about the precautions to be taken during the train journey, so that they do not panic in an emergency situation.Vehicle-checks are also going on continuously on the borders with Rajasthan and Gujarat. Police in Jhabua, Alirajpur, and Neemuch districts are checking the vehicles crossing the borders.
Eye on social media
Social media is also being monitored in every district. In this regard, the police headquarters has instructed all Superintendents of Police and Collectors. Monitoring is being done on WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other platforms. Police can take strict action against anti-national propaganda or over false rumours.
