Mumbai Crime: 18-Year-Old Man Stabbed To Death Near LTT In Revenge Attack After Slapping Men For Lewd Behaviour In Rickshaw

Mumbai: In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death near Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) allegedly in a fit of rage after he had previously intervened and slapped two men who were engaging in obscene acts with a girl in an auto-rickshaw. The victim, identified as Khushal alias Jai Ganesh Shinde.

The Tilak Nagar police have registered a murder case against the accused, Dipesh alias Dipya Sandeep Bhosale, Sumit Anil Sonawane, and Butter alias Kartik Waghmare, and are conducting further investigations.

According to the complaint filed by the victim's friend, Samadhan Ramesh Sonawane,18, who resides in Sai Baba Nagar, Chembur East, the incident stems from a previous altercation. On July 30, around 1:30 AM, Dipya and Sumit were allegedly caught engaging in obscene acts with a female friend in a rickshaw in front of the Samaj Mandir Hall in Shell Colony.

Teen Intervened in Obscene Incident Days Earlier, Slapped Accused

Some locals pulled them out of the rickshaw and slapped them, while also admonishing the girl. During the confrontation, Khushal alias Jai also intervened at that time, questioning their behavior and slapping them, which reportedly enraged Dipya.

The situation escalated on August 6, at 3:00 AM, Khushal and Samadhan were chatting near the Sai Baba Temple. After their conversation, they rode their friend's motorcycle to have tea near LTT railway station. As they were stopping near the turn towards LTT to look for a tea stall, Dipya, Sumit, and their friends confronted them.

Dipesh allegedly confronted Khushal about the earlier incident where he had been slapped in front of others. The group then began assaulting Khushal with kicks and punches.

Victim Attacked and Fatally Stabbed Near LTT While Out for Tea

Subsequently, Dipya allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Khushal in the left side of his chest. Samadhan fled the scene in fear. Rickshaw and taxi drivers who were present also ran away after hearing the commotion. Samadhan went back to his locality and informed his friend Arjun about the incident.

When the two returned to LTT, they were told that locals had already taken the injured Khushal to Rajawadi Hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared him dead on arrival.

Murder Case Registered Against Three Accused; Police Probe Ongoing

The Tilak Nagar police sent Khushal's body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation. Based on Samadhan's complaint, the police have registered a case of murder and are conducting further inquiries.
