Mumbai: A tragic incident occurred in Vikhroli's Kannamwar Nagar area where a young woman died by suicide after jumping from the terrace of a 22-storey building. The impact was so severe that her body was split into two parts.
The incident took place at Building No. 97, where the woman reportedly jumped from the 22nd-floor terrace. Vikhroli Police have reached the scene and are currently investigating the matter further to determine the reason behind the extreme step.

A shocking incident has come to light from Mumbai’s eastern suburb of Vikhroli, where a 23-year-old woman died by suicide late Monday night. The incident took place in Kannamwar Nagar’s Building No. 97, where the deceased, identified as Harshada Tandolkar, reportedly jumped from the terrace of the 22-storey building. Harshada was reportedly suffering from schizophrenia and was undergoing treatment at KEM Hospital as well as a private hospital in Parel.
The fall was so severe that her body split into two upon impact, leading to her death on the spot. The horrifying nature of the incident left local residents shaken.
Upon receiving information, Vikhroli Police immediately reached the scene, conducted a panchnama, and sent the body for postmortem. The exact reason behind Harshada’s decision to end her life remains unknown.
Police have begun a preliminary investigation and are trying to determine whether the young woman was under mental stress or facing any personal or physical challenges.
This incident has created a stir in Kannamwar Nagar, a locality that is rapidly developing with high-rise buildings. Further investigation is underway by the Vikhroli Police.
