Oil leakage woes
Due to oil leakage near the Shell petrol pump on Bhukum Road, the road had become slippery, due to which many two-wheelers lost their balance. At the same time, a woman named Vrushali (full name withheld) was traveling on her scooter. When the scooter skidded on the road, she fell down and at the same time her helmet got stuck under the rear wheel of a tempo going from Pune to Pirangut. In this accident, she was dragged for about 300 feet. Her life was saved because of her helmet. According to the Pune Police, Vrushali's helmet withstood the full force of the tempo's wheel. Due to this, she did not suffer any serious head injuries. Although the helmet was completely crushed, she suffered minor injuries.
Locals immediately took the initiative and admitted her to the hospital. During the accident, Vrushali handled the situation with a cool head and requested the bystanders not to move the vehicle. Because if the vehicle had moved, the injury would have been worse. Locals lifted the tempo, carefully pulled her out and admitted her to the hospital.
