Kolkata: Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and former MP Dilip Ghosh’s stepson identified as Pritam was found in the apartment where he stayed in mysterious condition.
Initial report of postmortem suggested that he died due to ‘Acute hemorrhagic Pancreatitis’.
According to RG Kar sources, where the autopsy was done the doctors found Pritam’s lungs, heart and kidney ‘bigger’ than the normal size.
The sources also mentioned that initially ‘no foul play’ was found.
Earlier this day after Ghosh's wife Rinku Majumdar was contacted by Pritam’s friend, following which she rushed to his son’s apartment and with the help of his friends he was taken to a nearby private hospital where he was said ‘brought dead’.
From the private hospital, the body of Pritam was shifted to Bidhannagar Mahakuma Hospital and was later shifted to RG Kar for autopsy.
Notably, Pritam used to work in an IT firm.
Talking to the media, Rinku Majumdar said, “I was about to talk with Dilip Ghosh if my son can be brought to this house as he used to stay alone and sometimes his friends used to come over. He could not say anything but used to say that he was happy. As a mother I understood that he is feeling lonely. Most of the time he never took food on time.”
BJP Leader Dilip Ghosh said that he knew Pritam for a long time.
“I didn’t get the happy moment of fathering a son but got the misfortune of losing a son,” said Ghosh.
