Long press on the chat

Without opening the conversation, long press on the chat you want to hide.

Lock the chat

After long pressing, tap on the three-dot menu (in the upper right corner) and select the "Lock chat" option.

Access the locked chat folder

Once locked, the chat moves to a new section called "Locked Chats," which appears at the top of your chat list.

Hide the locked chat folder

If you want the locked chat folder to disappear from the chat list, then:

Open the locked chat folder.

Tap the three dots (top right) and go to Settings.

Choose the "Hide" option.

Use a secret code to access hidden chats

To retrieve the hidden folder later, you'll need to set and use a secret code. Without this code, the folder will remain invisible.

Once the code is set, simply type it into the WhatsApp search bar to open your hidden chats again.
