A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the blaze was caused by an electrical fault within the fuse board. While the cause of this morning's fire hasn't been established yet, National Grid said its engineers had disconnected and isolated the electricity supply in the area to allow the police and fire service to carry out their investigation.
A spokesperson said: "We will be working to restore power to 50 locally affected customers as soon as those investigations have been completed." East Lindsey District Council has asked members of the public to avoid the area to allow emergency crews to work safely.
Nearby Coastfields Holiday Village shared a statement on social media after the fire at Golden Beach Holiday Park, saying: "We are deeply saddened about the tragic event at our neighbouring park in Ingoldmells, and express our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with you all, and we wish you strength and comfort in the days ahead."
The holiday park also asked their owners and guests for "patience and understanding", saying that the sub-station which supplies electricity to some of its accommodation and businesses has been damaged by the fire. It added: "We ask for your patience and understanding as the emergency services carry out their investigations.
"We anticipate that the power supply will be restored later today. The Villager, Four Winds (Outside Only), and Jokers Arcade have not been affected. Glen Park Market - Some areas have been affected but trading is able to resume. Four Winds (Inside) Closed until power is restored."
The latest fires happened just two weeks after a woman suffered serious burns when she went back into a burning caravan to save her grandad in a separate blaze in Ingoldmells. After travelling to the Coral Beach Holiday Park for a weekend away with her grandparents, mum and aunt, Melissa Shaw woke up around 5am on Saturday, March 15, to a fire and alarms going off.
She described the commotion as the family rushed to safety - and recalled the terrifying moment they realised her grandad was still inside. Ms Shaw told : "I can't remember if it was in my bedroom or the other room, I just remember trying to put a fire out and that's how I got the burns on my hands. Then I woke my auntie up, and I was shouting for everyone.
"My mum was already awake and shouting, and then me and my auntie went out of one door and my mum and my grandma went out another door, and I was like 'where's my grandad'?" After realising her 80-year-old grandad was still inside, Ms Shaw rushed back into the caravan despite already being injured.
The 33-year-old said: "I couldn't get him because of the injuries to my hands. I managed to get him out of bed but then he was at the bottom of the bed and I couldn't get him out of the caravan by myself." She "had to scream and shout for help" and then the next door neighbour came to help Ms Shaw bring out her grandad, which she says she is "so grateful for".
