Nine Perfect Strangers fans are in for a treat as the show is set to return for a second season, with subscribers keen to know when it will hit screens.

The chilling psychological thriller from Hulu and Prime Video is making a comeback, with Nicole Kidman's character Masha Dmitrichenko once again taking centre stage.

The first season, which debuted in 2021, was based on Liane Moriarty's novel of the same name. Moriarty is also the creative genius behind Big Little Lies and Apple Never Falls.

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 Release Date

The release date for the second season of Nine Perfect Strangers varies depending on your location.

For viewers in the US, the suspense-filled series will premiere on Hulu on Wednesday, 21st May. However, UK fans will have to wait until Thursday, 22nd May, for its release on Prime Video.

The first two episodes will be available on both Hulu and Prime Video on their respective release dates, with subsequent episodes being released weekly thereafter.

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 Cast

Returning to lead the cast as Masha Dmitrichenko is Australian actress Nicole Kidman, who previously won an Emmy Award for her performance in Moriarty's other series, Big Little Lies.

She has recently been at the forefront of several other streaming series and films, including The Perfect Couple, The Expats, Lioness, and Baby Girl.

Kidman will be accompanied by a fresh cast that includes Crazy Rich Asians' Henry Golding, Hunters star Lena Olin, Schitt's Creek actress Annie Murphy, and Wolf Hall's Maisie Richardson-Sellers.

Other notable names set to feature in the second series include The Gilded Age actress Christine Baranski, The Day of the Jackal star Lucas Englander, Opus' Murray Bartlett, Dune: Prophecy's Mark Strong, Runaway's Aras Aydin, and musician King Princess who will be making her acting debut.

Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 plot

Hulu and Prime Video have released an official synopsis, hinting at what's in store for the new eight-episode drama.

The synopsis states: "Nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru Masha Dmitrichenko to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps.

"Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she?".

"Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself."

Nine Perfect Strangers season two premieres on Wednesday, May 21, on Hulu in the US and on May 22, on Prime Video in the UK.
