Madeleine McCann's sister revealed the "scary" vow an alleged stalker made to her in a series of messages, a court heard.
Amelie, 20, gave evidence in the trial of two women, Julia Wandelt, 24, and Karen Spragg, 61, accused of stalking the family. Leicester Crown Court heard Madeleine's sister claim she was contacted on Facebook and Instagram by Wandelt. Amelie also told the court Wandelt's messages were "scary" and left her feeling "uncomfortable".
The young McCann told jurors Wandelt vowed "I will do whatever it takes" to prove her apparent identity, the court having heard earlier that the 24-year-old Polish national claims to be Madeleine, who disappeared aged three during a family holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2007.

When Amelie was asked how the message made her feel, she said: "It shows you the lengths she would go to, to try to get heard. It was scary as you don't know what she would do next."
Amelie McCann said of Wandelt: "It's clear that she thinks she is Madeleine. She can't understand why no-one is helping her to get proof."
Madeleine's sister told the court she did not want the Polish woman to get a DNA test because she "always knew that she wasn't Madeleine". Prosecutor Nadia Silver asked: "At any point, did you want to do a DNA test with Julia Wandelt?" Amelie replied: "No."
Asked why she did not want to do a DNA test, Madeleine’s sister continued: "Because I always knew that she wasn't Madeleine so I didn't need to do one and the, not guidance, but the people around me didn't think it was appropriate either for her to get a DNA test."
Madeleine's mum Kate and dad Gerry yesterday gave evidence in court, while shielded from the defendants by a curtain, at the trial.
Kate echoed her daughter's message to the jurors that she also thought Wandelt was not her girl. The mum told the court that when she first saw a photo of Wandelt "it was clear it was not Madeleine".
When asked if she considered taking the DNA test that Wandelt requested, Kate replied: "Well, no. If I’m honest, the persistence of Julia’s behaviour, It started getting to me.
"In some ways I wanted to take a DNA test just to put it to bed, even though having seen the photograph I knew it was not her." At this point Wandelt began sobbing in the dock.
Polish national Wandelt is on trial accused of stalking the McCanns for over two and a half years while allegedly claiming she was the missing girl.
She is on trial alongside co-accused Karen Spragg, from Cardiff, who has been accused of one count of stalking involving serious alarm or distress, after she allegedly made calls, sent letters and visited the McCann's home address. The trial continues.
