A holidaymaker was given “the world’s smallest armrest” on a £200 Jet2 flight. Tom Pike settled down in his seat for his two-and-a-half-hour flight and noticed something odd.
The 28-year-old, who was next to the window, buckled his seatbelt and went to get comfy, but he could not believe his eyes when he realised how small the armrest was.
After bursting into laughter with his friend Isabella Michel, he admitted he had never had one “this small” before. In the footage, captured on a flight from Menorca to London Stansted Airport, Tom attempted to use the “1.5-inch” armrest.

The 28-year-old flipped it down - but it made little to no difference. Fortunately, he and Isabella had a row of three seats to themselves on the flight back.
The video was filmed on August 10 during a Jet2 flight.
“I have never had one this small before,” said Tom, a financial services worker from Hackney, north London.
“It was maybe 1.5 inches long. We immediately burst into laughter. I didn’t make a complaint on the flight; luckily, I was able to move to the middle seat.
“I can think of a lot that beats a Jet2 holiday.”
Jet2 has been approached for comment.
