was left red-faced as she interviewed Dame Andrea Jenkyns on the morning show who has been appointed the new mayor of Greater Lindolnshire. During Friday's visit (May 2) to the studios, the 50-year-old broadcaster woke up the nation alongside her co-star Charlie Stayt.
The biggest story of the morning is the ongoing results of the UK by-elections which took place on Wednesday (May 1) with the final vote counts still coming in. Despite struggle to regain control in the House of Commons, early results show a huge spike in results from the Reform UK party, making it a tight competition for Labour and the . Later on in the show, the presenting duo welcomed the politician onto the morning programme as they discussed her mayoral success last night.
Just two minutes into their interview, Naga asked: "So in Lincolnshire how will it change over this parliament with you as its MP." It's at this point that the mayor goes silent for a few moments as Andrea rolls her eyes before Naga immediately interjects with an apology.
She states: "Mayor, sorry, mayor" before the politician replied: "Well I'm going to work very closely with our fantastic MP Richard Tice and we have a plan together for Lincolnshire with Reform.
"I want to ensure that Lincolnshire is the best place to bring up your children and to retire and to live. I want to ensure that people, even with special educational needs, they get that start in life that they can move around the county.
"That we haven't got this brain drain where we train our young people, we have the jobs for them with the skills and so Lincolnshire thrives. That is the ultimate goal for me, that Lincolnshire thrives."

The awkward slip up comes after the morning news channel faced some technical issues during the live coverage of the election at the start of the show.
Hosts Naga and Charlie were forced to step in quickly and issue an apology as the screen cut off completely. The morning show had cut to Hannah Miller, a reporter in Bristol, as she was speaking about the election results in the West of England, where they had been voting for a new mayor.
But as she was speaking, the sound suddenly cut out mid-sentence, and the screen flashed to an error signal message, which read: "No input signal". The show was silent for a moment before Naga swooped into action and took over.
She stated: "Apologies there, Hannah Miller, our correspondent talking to us from Bristol. Technical problems. The gremlins do come in when we have a morning of breaking news and new results. But we will keep you up to date with the Labour holding in that area."
