Residents take more holidays each year, visit more countries and plan more trips than anyone else in the UK, jetting off almost 14% more than the national average.
Close behind is Reading in second place and Liverpool in third. And while you might expect London to fly high, the capital only comes in at a modest 10th place alongside Derby.
The research by gives fascinating insights into Britain's love affair with travel.
On average we've visited seven countries and take two trips abroad every year. Europe remains hugely popular with Spain (57%), France (44%) and Italy (32%) topping the list of favourite destinations.
Our biggest travel motivators are to experience new cultures (63%), tick off a place on the bucket list (33%) and - unsurprisingly - to escape the British weather.
Liverpudlians are the country's best travelled people, visiting an average of nine countries each. That's four more than Bradford which comes bottom of the league table with just four.
And Britain's boldest travellers are from Portsmouth where 10% have visited long-haul destinations like Japan, Australia and Brazil.
The study of 2,000 adults looked at how often people travel, how many countries they've visited and the number of destinations on their bucket list.
It also revealed changing holiday habits, including an ever-growing reliance on mobile data with 79% of Brits admitting they struggle to travel without it.
Holidaymakers rely on data roaming to navigate new cities (37%), post-holiday selfies on social (36%), book restaurants (27%), stream their favourite shows (13%), and to sending photos to friends at home to spark jealousy (13%).
"Whether it's navigating a new city, sharing memories instantly, or relaxing with their favourite shows, travellers are relying on mobile data like never before," says Lewis Henry, Customer and Marketing Director at iD Mobile.
"That's why iD Mobile offers inclusive Roaming in 50 destinations worldwide at no extra cost, ensuring our customers stay connected - with plenty of data to explore, stream and share their experiences with friends at home - wherever they roam."
