
An iconic French has been branded the "weirdest car ever made" by historic vehicle experts. , profiled the plucky , describing the model as the "weirdest" but arguably the "coolest" classic built. The 2CV was produced by Citroen from 1848 to 1990 with almost four million models rolling off production lines.
However, the car has since become somewhat of a cultural icon, making it sought after by historic vehicle collectors. Just over 2,000 2CVs remain on UK roads today, with the car enjoying the support of a dedicated and loving fanbase.

"It's got a manual transmission, but you shift it using this umbrella handle that you push and pull.
"The windows don't roll down, they don't even slide, they actually flip upwards and then clip into place.
"The engine has just two cylinders and makes a whopping 28 horsepower. And there is a knob on the inside to adjust the headlights up and down if you're carrying heavy stuff.
"The Citroen is of course, French, and the French does everything a little weird, but it's also one of the coolest cars ever made."
