Raipur: Prominent specialists in arthroplasty have united to establish the Chhattisgarh Arthroplasty Association. The organisation aims to address the rising cases of joint pain, implement cutting-edge treatment methods including artificial joint replacement, and providing mentorship to emerging arthroplasty surgeons.
The inauguration ceremony saw Dr Sanjeev Jain, joint replacement surgeon and president of the Indian Arthroplasty Association (IAA), alongside Dr Debabrata Padhi, arthroplasty surgeon from Bhubaneswar and IAA Secretary, conducting the oath ceremony for the newly appointed office bearers.
The newly sworn-in officials included Dr Alok C Agrawal as president, Dr Sushil Sharma as vice president, Dr Jayvardhan Singh as secretary, Dr Pritam Agrawal as joint secretary, and Dr Harshal Sankle as treasurer.
The officials emphasised the significance of establishing an arthroplasty association in the state and exchanged professional insights.
They noted that this development represents significant progress in joint replacement care in Chhattisgarh, offering advantages to regional patients who can now receive treatment locally rather than travelling to distant metropolitan centres.
