Suresh Oberoi is one of Bollywood’s most respected actors, known for his powerful voice, sharp looks, and intense villain roles. Whether playing a cruel villain or a stern father, Oberoi always brought depth to his characters.

Recently, Oberoi spoke out strongly in support of Operation Sindoor, the Indian military action carried out on May 7, 2025. This operation was a response to the terror attack that happened on April 22 in the Pahalgam area of Jammu and Kashmir.

Oberoi praises PM Modi and calls Pakistan an ‘enemy nation’

Talking to ANI, Oberoi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his firm action. He said, “You are calling the country (Pakistan) our neighbour, but I would call it our enemy nation. Should we call it a terrorist nation? Hats off to Modi ji for doing what he had promised.”

He also honoured the women who lost their husbands in the Pahalgam attack. “The women who have lost their husbands in the (Pahalgam) attack should be given a lot of respect for the sacrifice they have made for this nation,” he said. Oberoi made it clear that the current calm between the two countries is not peace but only a temporary break, saying, “This is not a ceasefire, but just a pause.”

No Pakistani artists or sports matches in India, says Oberoi

Oberoi also shared his strong opinion about Pakistani artists and sportspeople coming to India. He said, “I don't want any singer, actor, or any Pakistani to be here, even for a cricket match. We should be ashamed of calling them.”

Fawad Khan’s film ‘Abir Gulaal’ has not been released in India

The tension between the two countries led to the boycott of the film ‘Abir Gulaal’, starring Indian actress Vaani Kapoor and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, which was supposed to release in India on May 9, 2025. It was meant to be Fawad Khan’s comeback after nearly nine years. However, the film was not released in India. Fawad Khan and many other Pakistani actors have also been boycotted from working in India.
