RAJOURI: Commander of the Indian Army's northern command, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma , visited Bimber Gali Brigade to review operational dynamics and preparedness along the Pir Panjal region that encompasses Poonch and Rajouri districts in Jammu division.
Official sources said, "The commander was accompanied by General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps, Lt Gen PK Mishra, and GOC, Ace of Spades, Maj Gen Kaushik Mukherjee, during his visit Saturday."
"Lt Gen Sharma interacted with troops and emphasised the importance of maintaining an aggressive posture, uninterrupted surveillance to effectively dominate operational space and neutralise emerging threats," they said.
Northern Command spokesperson said in an X post early Sunday, "The visit focused on assessing force effectiveness and threat response mechanisms in place to ensure complete domination of operational space."
He interacted with all ranks and motivated them to maintain high operational readiness , morale and professionalism in view of emerging challenges, the spokesperson added.
