Over 200 Rural Youth Benefit from Job Fair Organized by Hindustan Zinc's Zinc Kaushal Kendra in Udaipur

Udaipur, April 2025 — Hindustan Zinc Limited, India’s leading integrated zinc producer and a Vedanta Group company, continues to empower rural youth through its flagship skill development initiative, Zinc Kaushal Kendra. In a recent job fair organized by the Udaipur center, over 200 trained candidates from Udaipur, Dariba, and Zawar regions were provided employment opportunities across key industries.

30 Top Employers Participate in Skill-Based Job Fair

The job fair saw participation from over 30 major employers across sectors such as BPO, tourism and hospitality, microfinance, and banking. Renowned companies like HDFC Bank, Sajjan Palace, Annapurna Finance, Arcgate, Reliance Retail, and Parallel Hotels offered placements to skilled youth trained under various programs at Zinc Kaushal Kendra. The event successfully bridged the gap between rural talent and industry needs, underscoring Hindustan Zinc’s commitment to inclusive employment generation.

Youth Icon Sufiya Sufi Inspires Aspiring Professionals

A special motivational session was conducted by Hindustan Zinc’s Health & Fitness Brand Ambassador Sufiya Sufi, an ultramarathon runner and celebrated youth icon. Sharing her personal journey of perseverance and self-belief, Sufiya encouraged the youth to dream big and stay committed to their professional goals. Her powerful narrative struck a chord with the attendees, leaving a lasting impact.

This job fair not only facilitated direct placements but also strengthened dialogue between industry leaders and training facilitators. The interactive discussions focused on aligning skill development with market demands and evolving recruitment trends.

Zinc Kaushal Kendra: Transforming Lives Through Skill Development

The Zinc Kaushal Kendra initiative has trained over 7,000 rural youth, including 40% women, equipping them with market-relevant skills and helping them secure employment across India. Short-term intensive courses are offered in trades such as unarmed security, retail sales, assistant electricians, food & beverage service, CRM, and microfinance.

Graduates from Zinc Kaushal Kendras have been successfully placed in Udaipur, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lonavala, and other urban centers, earning salaries ranging between ₹14,000 to ₹30,000 per month.
