BENGALURU, April 30, 2025 — Karnataka has once again demonstrated academic excellence in the CISCE board examinations, surpassing national averages in both the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) results for 2025. According to data released by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Karnataka registered a 99.70% pass percentage in ICSE and 99.63% in ISC, significantly higher than the national averages of 99.09% and 99.02%, respectively.
Strong Statewide Performance Across CategoriesA total of 29,745 students appeared for the ICSE exam, while 2,442 students sat for the ISC exam across the state. Only 89 ICSE and 9 ISC students did not clear the exams. In the ICSE category, girls outperformed boys with a pass rate of 99.82%, whereas in the ISC exam, boys led slightly with 99.65%, compared to 99.61% for girls.
Educational institutions in Karnataka, particularly in Bengaluru, reported a high number of students scoring above 90%, reinforcing the state’s reputation for academic rigor and quality education.

SC (Scheduled Caste): 1,919 students appeared, 99.41% passed

ST (Scheduled Tribe): 479 students appeared, 99.37% passed

OBC (Other Backward Classes): 13,238 students appeared, 99.56% passed

SC: 97 candidates appeared, 93.81% pass rate

ST: All 33 students passed, achieving a 100% pass rate

OBC: All 447 candidates passed with a 100% success rate
