aired a blistering blow to US president as they presented live coverage of ' funeral from Rome. Trump and his wife Melania were both in attendance, along with , who headed out to represent the UK. But it was Sky News' concentration on Trump and his "disrespectful" act that caught the attention of viewers - and had some switching off.

In lieu of a black suit for the occasion, Trump instead wore a navy blue blazer and trousers, along with a matching tie and white shirt. Melania, at his side, donned a black veil and a double-breasted black coat - but plenty of viewers wondered why Trump was "sticking out like a sore thumb" in a sea of mourners dressed in black.

He also appeared to be looking in the opposite direction to the other mourners as speeches were given, sparking confusion with viewers watching from home. One penned: "This is the Pope's funeral, not the Donald Trump show, couldn't even manage a black suit!"

Someone else said: "It's not the Trump show, disrespectful to constantly show him when a speech or prayer is being performed." Another echoed: "Changed channel, it's the Pope's funeral not the Trump show!"

A fourth X user penned: "Think I need to change channels as I honestly don't want to see Trump." Another echoed: "Terrible coverage, all that's going on and you can focus on and who seems to have centre stage... Trump! Stop!!"

Others were more supportive, with one viewer writing: "I will watch the funeral on Sky News. Their coverage of the past several days has been superb. Anna Botting, Lisa Holland, Barbara Serra, Adam Parsons, and the incomparable Alastair Bruce. Thanks to all of them."

Meanwhile, body language expert Judi James has told Express.co.uk that Trump's body language betrays "hints of inner anxiety" and "distraction" as he looked away from what was going on. She said: "Trump's body language has varied from somber, hunched humility to hints of inner anxiety as he placed one hand on his waistband as he arrived in view of the crowds, in an unusual checking or self comfort barrier ritual.

"He also appeared distracted as he waited for the procession, looking down and touching or fiddling with the hand rail."
